Introduction ​

Welcome to The Aura App (“App”), operated by Aura Ventures Ltd. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are inspired by Matthew 9:36-37 to create a platform that helps the digital-native generation explore and understand the intricacies of God’s Word. Our app leverages AI technology to provide contextual information based on reformed Christian theology, with the aim of fostering a deeper love for seeking truth from Scripture.

Acceptance of Terms ​

By accessing or using The Aura App (“App”), operated by Aura Ventures Ltd., you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy and any other policies or documentation that we may provide. Your continued use of our Services signifies your acceptance of these Terms and any future changes.

Changes to These Terms ​

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms, and by providing notice through the App or via email where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Description of Services ​

The Aura App is a subscription-based service that leverages AI technology to offer personalized spiritual guidance, prayer support, and enriched Bible study, incorporating contextual insights. Our Services include app features, content, and communications intended to support users in their spiritual journeys.

User Eligibility ​

  • The App is intended for use by individuals aged 13 years and above. By using this App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
  • We do not knowingly permit users under the age of 13 to use the App. Users are solely responsible for complying with this age requirement.

Account Registration and Security ​

  • To access certain features of the App, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete registration information.
  • You agree to keep your account information up-to-date and to protect the security of your account by maintaining the confidentiality of your password and restricting access to your device.
  • You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you become aware of any unauthorized access or breach of security, you agree to immediately notify us at [email protected]

Subscription and Payment Terms ​

  • Subscriptions: The App operates on a subscription model, with details on pricing and payment terms available in the App Store listing. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly, annually).
  • Billing and Automatic Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Renewal fees will be charged to your payment method on file.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Services until the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be issued for unused subscription time.
  • Changes to Fees: We reserve the right to change our subscription fees at any time. If we do, we will provide you with advance notice. If you do not agree to the fee changes, you must cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
  • Refund Policy: Refunds are issued at our sole discretion unless otherwise required by applicable law. For inquiries related to billing or refunds, please contact Apple App Store for relevant policies.

Privacy and Data Use ​

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data. By using our Services, you consent to the data practices outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use ​

By using the App, you agree to comply with the following acceptable use policies:

  • Lawful Use: You agree to use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Harmful or Unlawful Content: You agree not to use the Services to generate or distribute harmful, inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content.
  • Usage Restrictions: Our app includes safeguards to prevent the generation of inappropriate or offensive content. This includes prompts to our AI model instructing it to reject requests for harmful, illegal, or offensive outputs.
  • Prohibited Activities: You agree not to attempt to circumvent these safeguards, such as by using ambiguous, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate prompts to generate content that violates our policies.
  • Monitoring and Review: We reserve the right to monitor and review interactions within the App to ensure compliance with our policies. Any content that violates these Terms may be removed, and users may face account restrictions.

User-Generated Content ​

  • Content Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you submit, including prayer requests, messages, and other interactions (“User Content”).
  • License to Use: By submitting User Content, you grant Aura Ventures Ltd. a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content for the purposes of operating, enhancing, and promoting the Services.
  • Prohibited Content: You are solely responsible for the content you submit and must ensure it does not violate these Terms or any applicable laws. Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or unlawful material.
  • Monitoring and Removal: We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor User Content. We may remove or disable access to content that violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.

Intellectual Property Rights ​

  • Our Intellectual Property: The App, its content, features, and functionality (including software, text, images, graphics, and other materials) are owned by Aura Ventures Ltd. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Restrictions: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App or its content without our prior written permission.

We are also not responsible for any data collected by these third-party services, and we encourage users to review the privacy policies of these providers.

Limitation of Liability ​

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AURA VENTURES LTD. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR ACCESSING THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

Disclaimer of Warranties ​

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Indemnification ​

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aura Ventures Ltd., its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

Termination ​

  • We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Services at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms, illegal activities, or any other conduct deemed harmful to us or other users.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. Any provisions in these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue in effect, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Agreement ​

  • Arbitration Agreement: You agree that any disputes or claims arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
  • Class Action Waiver: You agree to pursue claims on an individual basis and not as a class or collective action.

Miscellaneous ​

  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aura Ventures Ltd. regarding the use of the Services.
